Fantasy Jewelry

The entire world seems to be in an Alice in Wonderland frenzy, but it doesn't seem at all to be a bad thing...

This fairytale-themed jewelry by Alidra Alic has some absolutely stunning pieces. The collection is entitled Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and is inspired by 1800's flora, recreated out of plasic or metal.

I'm attracted to the fantasy element of Alic's work and the way that she desribes the pieces as being " statements of art and worn by those who dare." The jewelry is far from being traditional but has referencial elements that are historic and narrative; something that works very well with the glamorous fashion photos that accompany them.
